To us, when poetry appears on the radio it sometimes feels like it's been hidden behind a glass case, or polished to perfection, hiding all the delightful chaos that went into its creation.
Well, we're here to rip off that glass case and embrace the mess just as much as the masterpiece it creates!
In each episode we’ll share new poems from listeners & get into an in-depth chat with a leading UK poet.
We’ll share the incredible journey they’ve been on, the challenges they’ve faced & what they’ve learnt along the way.
Forget about the endgame – we're here to celebrate the wild, messy, and utterly glorious process of creating something beautiful with words.

Mark Grist
Mark is a poet, children’s author, ‘viral rap sensation’ &
a literacy consultant, visiting over 60 schools each year. . Mark is also leading our ‘We, The Poets’ project.
Chris Barn
Part man, part beard & all-denim warrior of sound.
Chris owns Backland Studios & is behind the scenes in every episode, helping us sound as good as possible.
Charley Genever
Charley Genever is an LGBTQIA+ poet and creative producer based in Peterborough. Known for her ‘raw, visceral, and unapologetic’ performances, she is a self-described lava lamp head and flesh gallery.
Keely Mills
Keely is a poet, workshop leader & magical mermaid of mirth & good times. Her work can be seen on bridges, Lido dressing rooms, and Lions. Keely forms villages with poetry residencies, creates safe spaces for creativity & loves recording stories for the future.
Leanne Moden
Leanne Moden is a poet and producer from Nottingham. She is fuelled by Jaffa cakes, fruity tea and unrelenting whimsy, and she runs the ‘We, The Poets’ workshop series.

Tony Nero
A local legend (and Peterborough Photo Laureate) Tony has been supporting poetry events in our city for years.
Tony works in various mediums such as pencils, charcoal, pastels, oils, watercolour and stipple-dot drawings & we’re so excited to be collaborating with him.
